Welcome to Black River:
In the slow process of updating my site. Stay tuned.
Red
Red is such a pretty variety. I am always working toward a rabbit with that rich Red color, great type and of course fur! I keep several shades of Red in my barn. Each one serves a purpose depending upon what I am trying to achieve in the resulting litters. This variety requires large amounts of patience and dedication for success.
Broken Reds are very striking too!

Lynx
Lynx are the proverbial "rainbow" rabbit. They go through several color changes in their coats before reaching that senior prime. You can blow in the fur one day and see a DQ animal. Two weeks later you blow in the fur and find that you have a correctly colored Lynx! Again they are another variety that takes determination and patience.
I want to thank Brad Edmonson from Noble Fur for sending me Quicksilver and Tracy Mercer for Jolie. They helped start my line of Broken Lynx several years ago.
I no longer raise Lynx after 20 years but still adore the variety.

Tort
Torts have always struck me as "exotic" looking. I had them pop out occasionally in my Red litters years ago. I liked them so much I started raising them on purpose. I was fortunate enough to start out with some very good animals back in 2007 from Comparts, Haulin Bunns and KT. From those beginnings I have raised many GC animals. I decided to make a line of Broken Torts when the numbers of solid Torts on the table in my area declined. Again I was lucky enough to acquire a beautiful broken buck from Cresthill. Cash, as I named him nicked so well with my solid does that almost everything I have kept and shown from those litters has granded.
